Earth Activist Training: 2-week intensive residential, Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC)
I am an EAT Alumni (2010) and have to say that this course helped me define my path and connect with myself more than anything I've ever done. Now granted you have to have an interest in working with the earth but this courses focus and education is not limited to the designers, farmers or gardeners. As I've used my PDC to help generate with my partners a self-organizing leadership structure within Evolver LA, as well as incorporated the social permaculture teachings from the course in the greater community building, resources sharing, and support network structuring and conjuring that Evolver LA is helping make connections and synthesize regionally and galactically. These are but a few of the surface blessings the EAT course offered my professional life, but it all paved the way for me to become a Master Gardener and gave me more tools for my medicine pouch as well as the greatest gift of all, a personally gift for my whole-self - friends, community, laughter, ritual, and service to the great mother earth. Beyond the divine pleasure and honor it was to spend two weeks with Starhawk and her stellar team of instructors, that almost instinctively but definitely pragmatically KNOW what they are talking about. It'll blow your mind. I hope you enjoy the course, that you share the course with your friends if you feel called to do so, because in these days of change we now face solely and collectively, connecting with the earth and grounding ourselves out, may be our saving grace.

Permaculture, earth-based spirituality, organizing and activism… with Starhawk and a team of stellar teachers and designers.
An Earth Activist Training can set your life on a new path…or show you how to save the world. Green solutions are sprouting up all around us, but permaculture shows us how to weave them together into systems that can meet human needs and regenerate the natural world. EAT is practical earth healing, with a magical base of ritual and nature awareness; teaching that integrates mind and heart, with lots of hands-on practice and plenty of time to laugh.
Our two-week intensives are Permaculture Design Certificate courses, offering the basic, internationally-recognized 72-hour permaculture curriculum with an additional focus on social permaculture, organizing tools, and spirit.
